Here you can experience the collections, styled in the latest interior trends. In the Experience Center, both retailer and consumer are welcome to enjoy our hospitality.

1994
Eleonora founded
Willem Schakel’s first transport to Eastern Europe. During these trips, he gets the idea of starting a furniture wholesale business. In 1994, Willem founds Eleonora and the first pieces of furniture are imported from Romania.
1995-1998
First property
Eleonora’s first property is opened at De Valk business park in Barneveld.
Extension of halls
A year later, additional halls were rented on Barnseweg and in the Harselaar industrial area, to store the growing amount of imported furniture.
New property with showroom
Eleonora buys a parcel on the De Briellaerd industrial area and builds a new property there, with a showroom and warehouse.

By-Boo founded
With By-Boo, Eleonora introduces its own brand of furniture and accessories.
2016
Sevn founded
Sevn is founded, its own brand for sofas armchairs. With Eleonora, By-Boo and Sevn you can now furnish your complete interior.
2005
Space shortage
The fast growth ensures that Eleonora is running out of space on all sides. Therefore, the property is expanded by another 5,000m2.
2006
Takeover
Michael Schakel, who has been involved in his father’s business since childhood, takes over Eleonora.
2013
By-Boo founded
With By-Boo, Eleonora introduces its own brand of furniture and accessories.
2016
Sevn founded
Sevn is founded, its own brand for sofas armchairs. With Eleonora, By-Boo and Sevn you can now furnish your complete interior.
2017 – 2021
New warehouse
In 2017, the construction of a new warehouse in Barneveld, with a surface area of 23,000 m2, will start. The clustering of all stocks is a major efficiency improvement. In 2021, the warehouse will be expanded again. From here, furniture from all over the world finds its way via the port of Rotterdam to our dealers in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Transport
The transport is completely self-managed. With fully printed trucks, you can see from afar that an Eleonora, By-Boo or Sevn truck is arriving.
Dutch Interior
In 2021, Dutch Interior will be introduced and all brands will fall under one umbrella name.
2022
Takeover Urban Cotton
The Urban Cotton brand is acquired by Dutch Interior.
